Wow! It certainly has been a soggy start to the new year and for some, a very treacherous one; we hope you have all been staying safe and dry. On the bright side, reservoirs are replenishing and at least for now, we are getting a break from the relentless storms with sunshine in the forecast.
The same can be said for the current climate of San Francisco real estate. Despite the rocky end of 2022 and a slow start in the new year, we are beginning to see increasing activity in the market. Homes are beginning to sell more quickly, and buyers are hopping back into the market along with the increasing new inventory. One metric showing new buyer activity is that, for the first time this month, the 3rd week of January showed a 25% increase in weekly purchase mortgage applications. These are all very positive signs that the market may not be as gray as some predicted!
Whatever your goals are for 2023, we will be here to help guide you. If you have been waiting to buy, now might just be the right time! For sellers, it is crucial to prepare your home for sale, pay attention to the details and focus on strategic upgrades and list price strategy to achieve optimal results.

Dale + Alla Team Take
San Francisco Real Estate remains a good investment over time.
February 10 – 19
SF Beer Week is a celebration of independent craft beer producers, purveyors and enthusiasts. Each February, hundreds of local craft breweries, restaurants, beer specialty bars and other community gathering places showcase the many facets of traditional, experimental and contemporary brewing.
February 4th
The Grand Parade is the highlight of the celebrations and the most anticipated event. An annual tradition that started in the 1860’s, it is still going strong and is attended by over a million visitors every year.
Don’t let the name fool you: the Laundromat SF is now open at 3725 Balboa Street, just up the block from the historic Balboa Theater, but diners won’t need to pull up with a basket of dirty clothes. The name is a nod to the space’s previous life as an actual laundromat called Let’s Do Wash Coin Laundrette; now, it’s an all-day restaurant bringing hand-rolled bagels and locally roasted coffee to the neighborhood by day, plus pizzas and natural wine for Richmond District residents by night.
Dale and Alla Team Tip:
We are always in search of the perfect east coast style bagel & pizza, and we may have just found it! And don’t miss the Calabrian chili cream cheese!!
