We Made the List! RealTrends Ranks Us Among the Best!

With all of the recent headlines—tariffs here, inflation there, stock-market whiplash and ongoing international turmoil —you might wonder how real estate could possibly stay on track. There are signs of diminished demand in certain parts of the country, but what about here in San Francisco? The market is doing better than you’d think.

Despite April’s jitters, May ended on a high note: median prices ticked up, inventory stayed steady, and more homes went into contract—many still over asking. Single-family homes led the charge, especially turnkey properties in great locations, which continue to attract multiple offers.

Everyone assumes summer is slow for San Francisco real estate and that things don’t heat up again until the Fall. In reality, some of our strongest months happen right now. Less competition. Motivated sellers. Off-market opportunities. Serious buyers are scoring great deals—if they know how to navigate the market—and sellers, with everyone holding for the fall rush, have a chance to get ahead by listing early. If you’re waiting for fall, you might miss your window. Catch Dale’s summer market update to get the full story—then let’s talk strategy.

Market Confidence Grows as Home Inventory Hits New Highs

According to SFGate, citing Realtor.com’s most recent Weekly Housing Trends Report, the typical American home is ending June on a modest upswing. The national median asking price is roughly 0.2 percent higher than a year ago and the cost per square foot has risen 0.9 percent, suggesting that underlying values are still firm even after a brief mid-May dip. Mortgage rates remain elevated—the 30-year fixed averaged 6.89 percent in the week leading into June 30—but a wave of new listings is giving buyers welcome breathing room.

I had a wonderful experience with Alla as my broker when I bought my new house in Sausalito. At every touch point, she provided guidance, extra information, and always made me feel like I was her top priority. For example, with any house I wanted to see, she made arrangements with the selling broker asap. She also contacted the selling broker with each of my questions. When it was time to write an offer, she guided me on how to write a strong offer. She continued to represent me after we went into contract and even after the closing. She made sure my experience during the process was seamless and stress-free.
