Will Spring Showers Make SF Real Estate Flower?

Much like our recent weather patterns, the San Francisco real estate market continues to be a bit unpredictable, affected largely by macroeconomic events. Despite a busy start and increasing buyer activity in certain segments, the market as a whole is not experiencing the boom that we usually typically experience at this time of year. We expect the competing market forces of decreasing available inventory versus the increasing cost of ownership to continue to create choppiness in real estate values in the short term. BIRDBOX

From the couple behind Michelin-starred Birdsong comes fast-casual fried chicken restaurant Birdbox. And, of course, Claude the Claw — that incredibly photo-worthy sandwich served with a whole chicken foot straining out from between two sesame seeded buns — seems guaranteed to be the star. But the sandwich isn’t about the shock factor; it’s about transparency in sourcing, chef Chris Bleidorn explains. “To the folks that say, ‘I don’t want to order a sandwich with a claw on, that’s gross or scary’ — what people should be concerned about are chickens without the claw,” he says. “Because then you don’t really know what you’re getting.”
